NXP leads investment round in Israeli memory startup
NXP Semiconductors has led a 17.5-million-dollar Series A investment in Raaam Memory Technologies, a startup developing next-generation on-chip memory. The funding will support the qualification of Raaam’s GCRAM technology in advanced process nodes at major foundries. GCRAM is positioned as a drop-in SRAM replacement, offering up to 50 percent area savings and up to 10 times lower power. The company has already demonstrated working silicon and is in close collaboration with NXP.

NXP has been working with Raaam for several years and sees strong potential in the technology to resolve memory bottlenecks in AI and edge applications. “Their solution directly addresses one of the most critical challenges in advanced chip design,” says Victor Wang, VP of front-end innovation at NXP.
