Salland Electronics shuts down
After 24 years, Zwolle-based IoT solutions provider Salland Electronics has gone out of business. The company, which had already been granted suspension of payment, was declared bankrupt by the district court on 25 June. Salland Electronics was carved out from Salland Engineering in 2001 to specialize in embedded hardware and software for industrial applications, focusing on the development of smart sensor systems with the rise of the Internet of Things.

Owner and managing director Herman Tuininga shared the sad news on Linkedin. “The trustee is currently investigating the possibilities for a restart. Although I won’t be part of this myself, I sincerely hope that employees and customers will have clarity soon and that a good solution will be found.” Starting from early September, Tuininga will continue as an independent contractor, under the name Chipboard Solutions.
