Semiconductor market expected to reach $600B in 2022

Next year’s global semiconductor revenue growth will return to single-digit numbers, according to the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics organization. The WSTS projects revenue to grow by 8.8 percent in 2022, a far cry from 2021’s whopping 25.1 percent expected growth rate. The 2022 number is a downgrade from a previous estimate, which amounted to 10.1 percent. Nonetheless, if current projections come true, the semiconductor market would top 600 billion dollars for the first time in 2022, if only by 1 billion dollars.
