Agfa inks deal for Clariant’s printed-electronics materials
Days after Agfa revealed a bumpy road to Covid recovery in its Q3 2020 results, the Belgian imaging specialist is announcing the purchase of the Swiss chemical company Clariant’s electronic materials portfolio. The Mortsel-based outfit will assume ownership of Clariant’s Prelect TPS nanosilver conductive inks portfolio and will look to expand its Orgacon portfolio of functional materials for printed-electronics applications. With the acquisition, Agfa believes it will be better placed to serve new and existing customers with materials and know-how for creating innovative printed-electronics products in the automotive, industrial and clean-energy markets, among others.
