The Twente Board has appointed Eugène Reuvekamp as program director for Chiptech Twente and the Microchip Talent Twente Strengthening Plan, part of the national Project Beethoven initiative. Starting 1 September, he’ll lead efforts to boost Twente’s chip tech ecosystem through talent development, innovation and strategic collaboration.

Reuvekamp, formerly with Philips and Malvern Panalytical, highlights the region’s potential: “The opportunities for the eastern Netherlands in chip design, semiconductors and photonics are enormous. With the right collaboration between industry, education and government, we can contribute as a region to European strategic autonomy in the development and production of chips.”
