Celebrating its first birthday, the Brainport Nationale Actieagenda published a progress report (link in Dutch) on boosting the region’s economy through modernizing education, improving the business climate, investing in key technologies, digitization and societal challenges, and attracting or retaining talent. Highlights include the formation of national integrated photonics platform PhotonDelta, the start of ‘challenge-based’ public-private research facility Eindhoven Engine and approval for 5G experiments using the 3.5 GHz band. “Over the past year, impressive steps forward have been made. This shows our cooperation is paying off,” said state secretary Mona Keijzer of Economic Affairs and Climate.
