Dutch share of STEM graduates is almost Europe’s lowest
The Netherlands has 12.8 science and technology graduates per 1000 inhabitants in the 20-29 age group, almost the lowest number in the EU-15 reference group, according to data gathered by the Rathenau Institute. With 14 per 1000 Belgium isn’t doing much better. The worst performer the comparison is also part of the Low Lands: Luxembourg, with 4.1 per 1000. On the other end of the spectrum, Ireland has 35.1 per 1000, France 26.7 per 1000 and the UK 25.2 per 1000.
