Robert Howe leaves Verum

Fifteen years after founding Verum, Robert Howe has decided to step down as CEO and director. He’ll leave the company at the end of September to focus on the consultancy business he recently founded, called Lakana. His new venture is to help industrial companies use software to drive innovation in their business. Bert de Jonge, Verum’s current sales director, will take Howe’s place as company CEO.

Verum started in 2004 as a service provider for the Analytical Software Design technology. Over the years, Howe transformed the Waalre-based firm into a product development company, creating and selling software engineering tools for designing verifiably correct embedded software for cyber-physical systems. He presided over the development of Verum’s second generation toolset, Dezyne (link in Dutch). In the course of his time at the company, he’s won leading customer accounts including Philips, ASML and Thermo Fisher.

Bert de Jonge has a strong track record in growing business. Since November 2018, he’s worked closely with Howe on strengthening Verum’s commercial position and is geared to lead the company to the next stage. De Jonge will primarily focus on cultivating the growing customer base and network, and on expanding internationally through partners.
