As of 1 February, Mark Sidler has joined Topic Embedded Systems as commercial director and managing director ad interim. In the latter role, he takes over from Ronald van Gerwen, who’s stepping back as CEO for an indefinite period due to personal circumstances. As commercial director, Sidler will lead the sales team of the Best-based specialist in software, FPGA and board development and drive the company’s growth ambitions for the coming years.
Sidler brings extensive leadership experience and deep market knowledge. After obtaining a BSc in physics from Fontys University of Applied Sciences in 1992, he began his professional career at Ericsson, where he spent fifteen years as a project manager, R&D manager and sales director. From 2009-2023, he served as business unit manager, operational director and, ultimately, general manager at Enter. Until recently, he worked as a business development executive at Strypes.
