Imec and four European partners have secured EU funding to continue Europractice services through September 2028. Launched in 1995, Europractice has provided more than 600 universities and research institutes annually with affordable access to design tools and fabrication through multi-wafer production runs. The new mandate keeps that infrastructure in place while expanding its technological reach.

Europractice 2.0 will provide fabrication in more than 90 technologies, complemented by packaging and heterogeneous integration. The portfolio will be updated with advanced nodes and emerging options, including technologies developed in European pilot lines.
