Demcon has acquired Leap Development, a specialist in antenna design, RF technology and embedded software. With the addition of the outfit from Deventer, the Enschede-based technology group now comprises a company that’s entirely dedicated to electronics development projects, offering advanced testing facilities such as a fully equipped ESD-safe environment and a professional anechoic room. Leap Development will continue its activities as Demcon Electronics.

“CTO Jan ten Thije, the founder of Leap Development, will continue to chart our organization’s technological course with his comprehensive high-frequency and antenna expertise. Together with him, we can further broaden and deepen our range of services,” comments Jur ten Brug, managing director of the newly established entity. “Demcon’s scale, multidisciplinary teams and extensive market reach will allow us to utilize our RF and electronics expertise on a much larger scale. This will enable us to tap into new markets and better assist our clients with their complex wireless, embedded and IoT issues.”
