ASML and Tata Electronics have signed a memorandum of understanding to support the build-out of India’s first commercial 300mm semiconductor fab. In addition to supplying lithography systems and related process solutions, the partnership encompasses talent development, R&D infrastructure and supply chain resilience. “India’s rapidly expanding semiconductor sector represents many compelling opportunities, and we’re committed to establishing long-term partnerships in the region,” says ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet.

Tata’s 11-billion-dollar facility in western India, first announced in 2024, will focus on 110-28nm analog and logic chips for automotive, mobile, AI and industrial applications. The Indian firm has secured access to these technologies through a partnership with Taiwan’s PSMC.
