Barry Peet to lead CITC

Reading time: 1 minute

BCSemi NL’s managing director Barry Peet is stepping down to lead the recently launched Chip Integration Technology Center (CITC). Since “Peet, in particular, has made great efforts to realize CITC,” BCSemi’s board considered him the right man for the job. Peet’s successor will manage not only BCSemi but also High Tech NL, as both organizations are set to merge. Starting 1 January, they will continue as Holland Semiconductors.

The CITC aims to fit in neatly between basic research and corporate R&D, working according to the same open innovation formula as Holst Center and Imec. Chip manufacturers, test and packaging companies, material suppliers, software developers, photonics firms and research institutions will work together on creating IP, which will be shared among participants. Education and recruitment for the local ecosystem will be another important mission.
