Hengelo-based Destinus has announced two partnerships within the European defense sector. The company joins forces with Quantum-Systems for unmanned systems and establishes a missile technology joint venture with Rheinmetall.

The collaboration with Quantum-Systems focuses on integrating reconnaissance and strike capabilities into a single system. Quantum-Systems’ tactical drones and software will be combined with Destinus’ expertise in the field of high-speed platforms and long-range applications. The goal is to create a system capable of gathering data at extended ranges while responding rapidly to changing circumstances.
The joint venture with Rheinmetall, called Destinus Strike Systems, combines Rheinmetall’s existing capabilities in ammunition and defense systems with Destinus’ expertise in propulsion and high speeds. Together, the parties aim to develop missiles with improved performance in terms of speed, range and deployability. Through the joint venture, Destinus gains access to Rheinmetall’s facilities for qualification and series production.
Together, these partnerships show that Destinus is evolving toward a broader role within defense systems. By investing in both unmanned platforms and missile technology, the company is expanding its activities from technological development to deployable systems.
