Hans Schoonen has stepped down as general director of the Noviotech Campus in Nijmegen. In discussions about the future direction and structure of the campus organization, it became clear that there was a significant difference in perspective. As a result, both parties have decided, in mutual consultation, to end their collaboration. As of 1 July, Henk Vos has started as director ad interim.
The Noviotech Campus leadership hasn’t been very stable over the past few years. Schoonen has held the position of director for a little over a year. His last permanent predecessor, Bert Krikke, left in 2023 after only two years in office, also due to a difference of opinion regarding the course to be followed. As ad interim director, Vos will focus on ensuring organizational continuity and on the further development of the campus, in close collaboration with the campus community and its partners.
