Photondelta joins hands with Silicon Catalyst
Photondelta has established a strategic collaboration with US semiconductor incubator and accelerator Silicon Catalyst. The new-found partners are joining hands to support photonics startups and scale-ups with access to experts and investors and go-to-market business development advice.

“In many ways, the photonics sector is in the same position as the semiconductor industry was 30 years ago. There’s unprecedented potential for growth, innovation and disruption. However, we’re at a delicate part of the journey. To grasp the opportunities in the market, photonics companies need the right intellectual, practical and financial support to achieve their potential,” says Photondelta CEO Eelko Brinkhoff.
“Our collaboration with Photondelta is akin to pairing a research and development lab with our full-service business development program for early-stage photonics enterprises. By combining the power of our complementary ecosystems, Photondelta and Silicon Catalyst hope to unleash a new wave of transformative innovation and growth within the photonics sector on both sides of the Atlantic,” adds Silicon Catalyst CEO Pete Rodriguez.
Founded in 2015, Silicon Catalyst has admitted over 100 startups to its 24-month incubation program, which includes a semiconductor-focused curriculum and over 40 events worldwide each year. Known (strategic or in-kind) partners include Arm, NXP and TSMC.
