Eric Stodel to head Confed

Amersfoort-based high-tech subcontractor Confed has appointed Eric Stodel as its CEO, effective 1 September. He succeeds Peter Hobbelen, who stepped down a year ago but remains involved as an ambassador of the company. Stodel brings over thirty years of international experience in C-level and senior management roles across various industrial sectors, including high-tech electronics, aerospace, mechanical engineering and agri-tech. From 2019 to 2022, he served as the CEO of Neways.

Confed develops and assembles high-tech products and components. As a one-stop service partner, it delivers customized solutions to clients such as Itho Daalderop, Quooker, Sunshower and VDL ETG. At its three locations in Amersfoort, Dordrecht and Slovakia, it employs over 350 people. According to the company, Stodel’s extensive track record in electronic manufacturing services “makes him exceptionally well-positioned to lead Confed into its next phase of sustainable growth.”
