Amsterdam-based deep-tech startup Innoseis Sensor Technologies has secured 6 million euros in seed funding to accelerate commercialization of its MEMS sensor technology. The company plans to use the capital to expand its international sales and marketing activities, streamline production and further develop its sensor platform.

Founded by two Nikhef researchers, Innoseis’ ultrasensitive sensors detect extremely small vibrations and movements, making them suitable for applications where precision is critical, including geophysics, navigation and space systems. According to the company, it’s the first to achieve this level of performance in a sensor of this size.
The investment round was led by Forward.one. The venture capital fund notes that the founding team previously helped build a leading position in the seismic sensor market and believes the MEMS opportunity is substantially larger.
