Barco has reached an agreement to buy Vervent Audio. With the French-British company, the Kortrijk-based projection specialist acquires high-quality professional audio to combine its imaging technology with sound and deliver fully integrated audiovisual solutions. The transaction is valued at approximately 135 million euros.
Headquartered in Saint-Étienne, France, Vervent develops high-quality audio systems under the Focal and Naim brands. This includes speakers, amplifiers and audio processing for the automotive and yacht industries, among others. “The addition of high-fidelity audio strengthens the overall experience of our offering across high-end residential and broader consumer/home entertainment environments, as well as in professional markets,” comments An Steegen, CEO of Barco.
