Morphotonics welcomes Hugo da Silva as CEO

Morphotonics has appointed Hugo da Silva as CEO. Before joining the Eindhoven-based nanoimprint specialist, Da Silva served in multiple leadership roles at technology and materials companies, most recently at 3D printer manufacturer Stratasys. His appointment follows the completion of a 10-million-euro scale-up round, announced last month.

Morphotonics’ nanoimprint technology – a combination of equipment, processes and materials – can precisely add complex structures, like lenses or prisms, onto substrates like glass or foils – to produce any optics, for any display, at any size. The final products include 3D displays, smartphones featuring anti-glare screens and longer battery life, as well as augmented reality glasses.
