90 jobs axed as Philips reorganizes (again)
Philips is restructuring its central innovation and strategy department, cutting about 90 jobs at the Eindhoven, Amsterdam and Best offices. Another 200 employees will be transferred to another department. The aim is to have more employees working on innovation at individual business units, while the central innovation department focuses on data and artificial intelligence, a spokesperson told press agency ANP.
Since taking the helm in October 2022, CEO Roy Jakobs has made several cuts in Philips’ R&D operations. The reorganization announced in January 2023 hit hardest.
