In the third quarter, Barco’s sales amounted to 266.9 million euros, an increase of 7.3 percent compared to Q3 2018. The Kortrijk-based imaging specialist recorded 275.6 million euros of incoming orders, a 13.3 percent year-on-year increase. Its order book as of end-September stood at 359.1 million euros, up 12.4 percent compared to Q3 of last year. This represents the fourth consecutive quarter of order book growth.
Barco’s Entertainment division registered a double-digit increase in orders and sales fueled by cinema. Enterprise division sales were slightly lower due to a decline in sales for Control Rooms partially offset by sustained double-digit growth for the Clickshare wireless presentation and collaboration solution. The Healthcare division also produced double-digit growth in sales driven by strong demand in both the surgical and the diagnostic segment.
