Maarten Bonnema is a professor of systems engineering and multidisciplinary design. Throughout his career, he’s contributed to both the academic and industrial systems engineering communities. He started as a systems engineer at ASML. In 1999, he moved to the University of Twente, where he rose to the rank of full professor.
For his research work in systems engineering, Bonnema keeps a close contact with the high-tech development practice. Bits&Chips sat down with him to talk about his passion for the field and to ask how systems engineering can be applied most effectively.
