The University of Twente has appointed Gregor Halff as president of its executive board, effective 1 September. He succeeds Vinod Subramaniam, who left the university in May to become president of the University of Amsterdam. Halff will lead the UT together with rector magnificus Tom Veldkamp and vice president Machteld Roos.
Dutch national Halff joins from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where he serves as dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and is professor of corporate communication. Before moving to the Netherlands, he held senior leadership positions at Copenhagen Business School and Singapore Management University. Earlier in his career, he worked in industry at Philips and communications agency Publicis.
