Reading time: 1 minute

A Dutch consortium has been given the go-ahead to explore new concepts for energy-efficient and more sustainable information technology. Led by University of Twente researcher Hans Hilgenkamp, NL-Eco will, among other things, be looking to the human brain for inspiration to reign in the exponentially growing energy demands of computation technology.
