The Dutch battery technology company Leydenjar is expanding into the United States with a sales office in Richmond, Virginia. In doing so, the company explicitly focuses on customers in the American wearables and consumer electronics market. Leydenjar is already working with several commercial and technical partners in the US.

At the CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Leydenjar presented its Silyte silicon anode technology for commercial applications in consumer electronics. The achieved energy density is up to 50 percent higher than that of conventional graphite anodes and can support more than 500 charging cycles without external pressure. The technology can be combined with existing lithium-ion production lines.
For the US expansion, Leydenjar is supported by recent funding of 11.7 million dollars. For the time being, research and production will remain concentrated in the Netherlands and Taiwan.
