IBM connects to High Tech Software Cluster

IBM has joined as a new technology partner of the High Tech Software Cluster (HTSC), a Dutch consortium of software-developing organizations. Big Blue aims to collaborate with other member companies on building innovative and smart solutions for manufactures and electronics companies, helping to support their digital transformation. “We have a shared vision with HTSC that hardware not only needs to be modernized through software innovation but also by building agility and open source to innovate at scale and speed,” comments Edwin van Vianen, Electronics Industry Leader Benelux at IBM.

HTSC is a project initiated by Brainport Development, to help industrial companies find their way in digitalization. The aim is to jointly develop smart products, services and business models using software technology, to stimulate innovation and value creation. The topics are focused on smart industry: robotics, digital factory, high-tech software, future manufacturing skills and capabilities, IoT and data and AI. Located at the Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven, HTSC is a Smart Industry fieldlab connected to the “Factory of the future” innovation program.

“We aim to closely work with HTSC member companies so we can help software and cloud developers to deepen their understanding on various cloud and AI technologies, both open source and from IBM,” details Victoria Bunyard, Big Blue’s CTO Benelux. “The focus will be on how to overcome technical challenges. Our IBM Developer team will provide technical hands-on workshops, tech talks or demos to explore the innovation engines and Developer Advocates to explore and enhance developer capabilities at no cost. We bring value to HTSC through our R&D programs and our global network of partners and collaborations, with their own hybrid cloud and AI innovations and expertise, which can expand the ecosystem beyond borders.”
